hi everyone,

I have a 92 240 SX with 110,000 miles on it. It runs like a dream, super smooth etc... The problem i'm having is having it start on a regular basis.

I turn over the key and all my dials move, radio kicks in, everything works except the car will not turn over. Just a 'click' sound. I turn the ignition switch over and over until finally it does start. I've replaced the alternator, the starter switch, but neither have made a difference. There is some electrical malfunction that seems to cause much bigger problems for my car. I'm in San Antonio, TX. Can anyone suggest help, or know of someone in SA, TX that is trustworthy to work on electric work? I've been trying to have it fixed for a while but nothing anyone does changes the car.

Please let me know.

Thank you!

In some cases, replacing the alternator and starter switch won't alleviate the problem of your car not starting on a regular basis. This has happened to me as well, and I couldn't figure out which was wrong. I suggest you contact an experienced mechanic whom you can count on to solve our problem. Good luck.
