Help Identify Engine

I have a KA24E but I don't know what kind of vehicle it's from. I am going to use it on a test stand - not in a vehicle. On the block, the ID is "KA24 056887. I want to replace the factory harness and ECU with a simple harness and MegaSquirt ECU. Since some parameters differ between the car and the pickup, I'd like to pin down what it came from. Any ideas? Thanks.

Oh, my first point of confusion concerns wiring diagrams: my dizzy has Blk, Wht, Grn, and Red wires coming from it. But none of the diagrams I've seen on line show those colors.

I found out that with the pan sump in front, the engine is from a car, not a truck.

I found that the wires between the connector and the ECU did match a diagram I found.
