I don't know much about these cars.I have a 89 240sx that has a digital speedometer with the projected speed on the windshield too, neither work but everything else works. any idea?

i got the same problem, non of the dash is woking besides the RPM's im trying to figure it out now, do u have a coupe?

MINE IS 93 240SX SE, THE PROBLEM IN tHE SPEEDOMETER was the speed sensor, located in the transmision(out). you will see it with a conector (2 cables) be carefull because some trans oil will out if you remove and dont cover the hole. hope you resolve with this, for the speedometer only.

Most likely the sensor, as mentioned before. They're not cheap, over $100., unless you get lucky....
