Would like to upgrade!

I have a base model '90 240sx and would like enhance it, but I know little to nothing about cars. I would like to know a good 4 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual transmission, exhaust, shocks, brakes and any other enhancement needed for thoughs parts or any to allow faster speeds and greater turning and handling. I would appreciate any advise.

the stock motor in the the 240sx's are pretty strong as it is, with the sohc ul already be runnin at around 150hp stock. with the dohc ur runnin round 170-175hp
